The beneficiary involved in the Unified Agro-Project in Bolnisi District was fully reimbursed for loss inflicted by hail. Levan Magradze, the Manager of the Agricultural Project Management Agency AgroInsurance Program, Davit Sherazadishvili, Bolnisi Municipality Mayor and Giorgi Megrelishvili, the representative of GPI Holding Company met with Davit Khmelidze, suffering loss, in Bolnisi municipality and visited crop plots, which were devastated a result of hail. In Bolnisi, 36% and 60% of two crop plots possessed by Davit Khmelidze was damaged as a result of hail. The Insurance Company GPI Holding remunerated GEL 3 564 and GEL 13 365 to the beneficiary. The amount paid for the purchase of insurance policies by the beneficiary amounted to GEL 871.65 and the subsidiary of the Agency amounted to GEL 2033.65. According to the data of November 2017, 20,692 policies were allocated within the framework of the Agro Insurance Program throughout Georgia. 15 365 beneficiaries are involved in the program. The sum of the subsidy of the insurance premium provided by the State amounted to GEL 7 252 990. 20 466 hectares of land plot is insured, and the value of harvest is GEL 136 480 969. 3 021 insurance incidents resulted from hurricane, floods and hail. The compensation amounts to GEL 3 842 188. Assessment of the loss and transfer of funds are carried out simultaneously.
