Products Storage Farming has been expanded in Tbilisi within the Framework of the United Agroproject
The products storage farm - the SAKINVESTI Ltd - equipped with modern standard equipment has been expanded within the framework of the United Agroproject in Tbilisi; the storage farm was visited by Mr. Giorgi Chkheidze, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture along with Mr. Mamuka Kvaratskhelia, the Director of the Agriculture Projects Management Agency.
The products storage farm - the SAKINVESTI Ltd shall be able to store 2 700 tons of products simultaneously. The company employs 43 people. The company has been expanded in 2017.
The company benefited the Produce in Georgia component of the Preferential Agro-Credit Project. In total, 1 718 494 GEL has been invested in the enterprise, out of which 1 700 000 GEL is the preferential agro credit.
Since 2013 the Project Management Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture is implementing various projects for creating new enterprises. Within the projects, preferential loans are being issued for the creation of new enterprises, as well as the expansion of existing ones. At this stage, more than 750 active and 165 new enterprises have already been financed within the project. 4 new enterprises have been created in Tbilisi and 34 enterprises have been expanded.
Within the framework of the "Produce in Georgia - Business" the Agricultural Project Management Agency is implementing the United Agroproject, which is designed for long-term development and aims at creating an environment that will contribute to improving competitiveness in agriculture, stable growth of high quality products and implementation of food safety international standards.
