Expo Georgia Hosts International Exhibition
Exhibition Center Expo Georgia hosts 17th International Exhibition of Agriculture, Food Industry, Food Processing and Packaging Technologie (Agro / Food / Drink / Tech) from 20 to 22 November, 2017. The exhibition is organized by the Exhibition Center Expo Georgia with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture. At the opening ceremony, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture Giorgi Khanishvili spoke about the importance of the event. Every citizen of Georgia experiences the support resulted from the Governments policy, through which more than 2 billion was attracted in agricultural sector within 5 years and the time has come to introduce more upgraded, healthy, ecologically safe technologies into our country. The Exhibition will host a great number of participants, who are willing to see, buy and learn about the latest technologies of the world and we think that our farmers will soon implement presented technologies in their farms and enterprises - said Giorgi Khanishvili.
Agricultural machinery, machines, equipment and packaging materials, greenhouse technologies and equipment, irrigation systems, laboratory equipment, planting and seed materials, fertilizers and pesticides, consulting services and modern technologies are presented at the Exhibition.
About 100 companies from 16 countries are going to take part in the International Exhibition, including Belarusian manufacturers, who are participating in the Exhibition on such scale for the first time. The Exhibition is organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Belorussia, United Exhibition Organization - BelinterExpo" and with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Georgia. Exhibition of Belarusian manufacturers Made in Belarus is represented by 9 companies: packaging and poultry plants, the largest national confectionery enterprises, sausage products, companies manufacturing agricultural machinery and equipment, childrens nutrition and canned foods enriched for vitamins for breastfeeding mothers.
The aim of the International Exhibition of Agriculture, Food Industry, Food Processing and Packaging Technologies is to promote industry development in Georgia and Caucasus region and economic growth of the country by introducing foreign companies on the local market. Therefore, 2300 small farmers from all regions of Georgia visit the Exhibition Center Expo Georgia with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia. The farmers are encouraged to establish direct contacts with entrepreneurs, learn about new technologies and current innovations in the agriculture sector. 17th International Exhibition of Agriculture, Food Industry, Food Processing and Packaging Technologies, was opened on November 20 at 11:00, in the 11th Pavilion of the Exhibition Center Expo Georgia. The Exhibition will be open for 3 days from 10:00 a. m. till 18:00 p. m.
