New fruit garden has been set out in Kvemo Kartli
Within the framework of the project Plant Your Future, Mirgussain Asadov planted a walnut garden in the village of Damia-Gheurarh in Marneuli, Kvemo Kartli region. Levan Dolidze, Representative the Agricultural Projects Management Agency, together with Zaur Dargali, Deputy Governor of Kvemo Kartli, and representatives of the local self-government, visited to view the walnut garden set out by Mirgussain Asadov on 6 hectare of land. The beneficiary joined the program in 2016. The state funding of GEL 23 490 was allocated for planting a garden and arranging irrigation systems: GEL 14 175 for planting and GEL 9 315 for drip systems. Within the framework of the project Plant Your Future, new gardens of fruit trees are grown on 3 570 hectares throughout Georgia and the state funding amounts to GEL 17 914 959 million. Out of these, the gardens of fruit trees are planted on 505 ha of land in Kvemo Kartli region. The Agricultural Project Management Agency, within the framework of Produce in Georgia - Business, is implementing the Uniform Agro Project, which is designed for long-term development and the aim of which is to create an environment that will contribute to improving competitiveness in agriculture, stable growth of high quality products, implementation of international ISO standards for food safety.
