Kakheti farmers received full reimbursement due to the damage caused by the hail

In the Municipality of Gurjaani, the damage sustained by the hail to the beneficiaries enrolled in the United Agro-Project will be fully reimbursed. The Manager of Agro insurance program of The Agricultural Projects Management Agency Levan Maghradze, the representative of Insurance Company Aldagi and Irakli Shioshvili, the first deputy Governor of Kakheti region have visited Ivane Khutsoshvili -individual victim and inspected the lands spots of the apricot damaged under the hail. The 70% of the harvest owned, by the resident of the village Akhasheni, Ivane Khutsoshvili, has been harmedBecause of the hail. The insurance company Aldagi covered the loss against the mentioned beneficiary in the amount of 21,546 GEL.The amount paid in order to purchase the Insurance policy was up to GEL 820.80 , and the subsidy of the Agency amounted to GEL 3,283.20.According the findings of the year 2016 , totally 16,139 units of insurance policies have been issued throughout Georgia, under the Agro-insurance Program, 12,772 beneficiaries are involved within the program, and the State Insurance Premium subsidy amounted to GEL 7,737,083.87. Insured area of land spot is 14,640 Hectares, and the total amount of harvest is GEL 125,774,643.03. The storm, sludge and hail have resulted in the occurance of 3 423 insurance cases. Based on the preliminary estimations, the volume of sum to be reimbursed is GEL 5,180,568.02. Simultaneously, the loss rate calculation is being processed and the amount is to be deposited.United Agro Project being implement by the Agricultural Projects Management Agency, is targeted on the long-term development goals and aims to promote the increase of the competitiveness within the agricultural field, to promote the steady growth of a high-quality production and provision of food safety and security.
