The Minister of Agriculture together with Mr. Kakha Samkharadze, the Governor of Shida Kartli participated in the first harvesting process in the gardens planted in Sida Kartli within the framework of the program Plant the Future. The Georgian Garden LTD planted the new orchard in 2015 within the framework of the project Plant the Future. The company gained 98,730 GEL state grant for planting apple garden and arrangement of irrigation system in 10 hectares, from which 80,080 GEL was allocated for seeding and 18,650 GEL - for arrangement of drip system. The company has planted 4 different varieties of gardens in the area; it is expecting to have its first harvest - 15 tons of apples this year.
