Harvest taking procedures are actively going on in the villages bordering the occupational line

Taking of grain crops in the borderline villages of Shida Kartli is entering the active phase. Harvest taking operations for the local population is carried out by the LTD Mechanizator of the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia. Deputy Head of the Agricultural Projects Management Agency-Aleksandre Nasaridze, General Director of LTD Mechanizator-Paata Shekiladze and representatives of local authorities got acquainted with the process of harvest taking in Bredza community. LTD Mechanizator has already started harvest taking process on 350 ha area in Bredza community. Wheat, barley and oats were seeded by 400 farmers in Bredza. Harvest taking activities are performed by the combines brought from Azerbaijan. Mentioned combines were brought from the Republic of Azerbaijan by the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia in order to ensure harvest taking in compliance with agro terms. 12 combines of LTD Mechanizator are mobilized on the area of borderline villages. 615 ha of the sown area has already been processed by the mentioned combines and more than 300 beneficiaries have been served. 490 ha sown area is left and its taking will be finished in the nearest future in compliance with the agro operation term. Harvest taking process is actively going on within the whole area of the country. 87 combines of LTD Mechanizator and 30 combines brought from Azerbaijan are involved within the process. 39 units of technical facilities are involved into the activities in Kakheti region (32 combines of LTD Mechanizator and 7 combines brought from Azerbaijan), 19 combines in Kvemo Kartli region (10 combines of LTD Mechanizator and 9 combines brought from Azerbaijan), 53 in Shida Kartli region combines (39 combines of LTD Mechanizator and 14 combines brought from Azerbaijan) and 6 combines of LTD Mechanizator in Samtskhe-Javakheti region. Approximately the same amount of technical facilities of private sector are involved into the process as well.
