One of the most demanded state programs that we implement is Plant the Future - a program that allows farmers to plant modern, intensive orchards and get high-quality abundant crops for both export and the local market. Under the program in 2021, new perennial orchards were planted on more than 3,600 hectares. Export products such as walnuts and berries are in demand. Its also noteworthy that the production of perennial crops in Georgia in recent years increased by 33% and amounted to 600 thousand tons,- said the Minister of Environment and Agriculture Otar Shamugia, speaking in the Parliament in the format of Ministers Hour.

From the beginning of the state program Plant the Future until today, the state has financed the planting of new perennial orchards on more than 17 000 hectares of land.
