Component for storage enterprises

Purposes of the component:

• Support of primary agricultural products standardization;
• Raising the self-efficiency of perennial and annual plants;
• Support of effective cooperation;
• Establishment of additional infrastructure for supporting the farmers to store the yielded crops;
• Assisting the storage enterprises to be developed as the future service providers;
• Supporting the standardization of storage enterprises.

Conditions and terms

Only the establishment of new refrigerator/or dry storage enterprises will be financed within the scopes of the storage enterprise component.

The capacity of storage enterprise should be no less than 200 tons.

Technical parameters of storage enterprise should be designed for specific character of primary agricultural products (such as stone-fruits, pomaceous, berries, subtropical, vegetable, nuts, grapes, citrus and horticultural crops) produced in the relevant region.

The establishment of storage enterprise will be funded in all municipalities and self-governing cities of Georgia, except for the following self-governing cities: Tbilisi, Rustavi, Kutaisi, Batumi and Poti.

Grain storage enterprises shall be financed in all municipalities of Georgia, as well as in Poti and Batumi cities.
