Eligibility criteria

The target beneficiaries of co-financing component of processing enterprises should comply with the following criteria:

• A beneficiary must be a legal person registered in Georgia (except for state/municipal enterprise);
• A potential beneficiary should have appropriate knowledge and experience for conducting business;
• An application form submitted electronically by the potential beneficiary must comply with the terms of the co-financing project;
• The project submitted by the potential beneficiary should provide for the establishment of a processing plant, and in the case of energy-efficient stoves, the establishment of a new plant or the modernization / expansion or rehabilitation of an existing plant;
• The project submitted by the potential beneficiary should be designed to process local raw materials and utilization of local labor resources, except in the case of production of energy efficient stoves.
• Not more than one business plan submitted by a legal entity will be financed by the Agency within the framework of co-financing Project. Besides, a legal entity presenting a beneficiary of one of the components of co-financing project may not be the beneficiary of the second component.
• The amount of funding requested by a beneficiary must be adequate to the limits determined by the component;
• The established enterprise should comply with international food safety standards and systems.
