Eligibility criteria

A beneficiary of component of co-financing may be an entrepreneurial legal entity registered in Georgia, including registered agricultural cooperative;

A beneficiary may not be a state enterprise, or state affiliated enterprise;

A potential beneficiary must own a land plot, where the establishment of storage enterprise is being planned;

In case the beneficiary is an agricultural cooperative, it should meet the following additional criteria:

• Not less than 3/4 (each member) of agricultural cooperative members must own the agricultural land plot (where garden is cultivated or vegetables are grown), which will not be alienated/transferred to a third party for temporary use until full performance of the obligations undertaken by turnover plan of the enterprise;
• The volume of the crops harvested / to be harvested on the land plot(s) owned by cooperative members or/and by cooperative should correspond to productivity / volume of storage enterprise to be established; the volume of crops harvested/to be harvested should be equal at least to half of productivity / volume of storage enterprise.

The storage enterprise should comply to enterprise standards developed by the Agency, and in case of the grain storage enterprise, it should comply with the relevant standards. 

Technical parameters of the enterprise to be submitted to the LEPL Agricultural Scientific Research Center:

• Characterization of raw materials intended for storage (culture, varieties, area for supply, area of relevant planting;
• Description of storage technology scheme (preliminary treatment, use of preservatives, storage mode, technology (ULO technology, CA storage and etc.);
• Architectural project of storage enterprise;
• Technical data of aggregates intended for purchase(refrigerator equipment, ventilation system, humidifier);
• Description of containers and materials for storage (if any).
